The success in Taekwondo is not only physical but mental, knowing you know the techniques mentally is as important as knowing it physically.
Here are few tips to help you:
Train regularly two to three times per week
The student should make Taekwondo a priority in the week’s plan to train regularly.
Practice all techniques
Having favorite techniques is a normal thing for every Taekwondo student, but you should practice all techniques. The practice of a kick or any technique is the key to learning and mastering them, that is why the student should train in all their curriculum.
Concentration
The student should be 100% mentally focused during the training, in order to have control and precision while practicing techniques.
Focus on mastering the basics of Taekwondo
Some students try to learn advanced techniques while they are still learning basic techniques. New students can get impressed when they see black belts performing some amazing kicks or do some superior Poomsaes, but you must master the basics before you reach that high.
Breathing
The trainee should relax during the training, and breathe deeply, when kicking or punching.
Be on time to your training
Be on time for training, the warm up and stretching portion of the training is fundamental to a good class.
Train both sides the same way (right and left)
In most Dojangs, it is noticeable that some students can use their right side better than the left one or the opposite, and this is a result of imbalanced training. Train both sides equally, as a true martial artist doesn’t have a good or bad side.
I hope these few tips would help you to progress in your training. Good Luck!
